The Presidency answers your questions: about the TER

On 29 March 2022, the Presidency of the Republic of Senegal invited you to ask all the questions you may have about the TER infrastructure. 

The President of the Republic, Macky Sall, inaugurated the first Regional Express Train (TER) on 27 December. Stretching 36 km, the line connects Dakar with Diamniadio, and its forthcoming extension will make it possible to reach Blaise Diagne International Airport in almost 45 minutes.

Today, this project is helping to relieve congestion in the capital, giving its inhabitants the opportunity to use a very safe means of transport, as it features the latest technology and is also protected by a security system operated by the gendarmerie.

However, in addition to offering the Senegalese people a new rapid, reliable and environmentally-friendly transport solution, it is also a new step forward for the development of the Senegalese nation.
