Press releases - 2025 June 01

A few days before the Tabaski celebration, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, conducted a field visit to two sheep sales points: the “Mbaar-Mi” sheep farm, managed by Mr. Fadilou Keïta, President of the Senegalese Alliance for Development and Improvement of Breeds (ADAM), and the “Galoya” sheep farms, led by Mr. Abou Kane, President of the National Federation of Actors in the Sheep Sector (FENAFO).

The Head of State commended the mobilization of breeders, traders, and all stakeholders to ensure an accessible, well-organized, and supportive Tabaski. He reaffirmed the State’s commitment to supporting the pastoral sector, improving distribution logistics, and ensuring the health safety of the animals.

In a gesture of closeness, the President, as a devoted family man, made a point to purchase two sheep at affordable prices, thereby sharing in the realities experienced by millions of Senegalese during this symbolic period.

This visit reflects the Head of State’s desire to remain close to the citizens and to support everyone’s efforts for a successful celebration, marked by dignity and fraternity.
