Following his visit to Ndiayène Pendao, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, traveled on June 12, 2025, to Richard-Toll to tour the facilities of the Compagnie Sucrière Sénégalaise (CSS).
Employing nearly 8,000 people, the CSS plays a key role in the local and national economy, particularly through its ambitious project to achieve sugar self-sufficiency by 2030.
This visit reaffirms the State’s commitment to supporting strategic productive sectors to ensure Senegal’s food security.
