
The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, devoted this Tuesday, November 18, 2025, to a series of audiences with two high-ranking officials of the Senegalese judicial system.

First, President Faye granted an audience to Me Aly Fall, Bâtonnier of the Order of Lawyers of Senegal. The discussions focused on the main challenges facing the profession, as well as the prospects for reforms aimed at strengthening its role in defending rights and freedoms. The exchanges also addressed support for structural reforms intended to build a more accessible, more efficient justice system that is more respectful of fundamental rights. At the end of the meeting, the Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to promoting an independent, credible judicial system fully oriented toward serving citizens.

The President of the Republic also received Mr. Mouhamadou Mansour Mbaye, First President of the Supreme Court. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the activities of the high court, its decisive role in consolidating the rule of law, as well as ongoing projects to improve the quality of public justice services. The Head of State praised the Supreme Court's essential contribution to institutional balance and reiterated his determination to support the modernisation of the judicial system to meet the expectations of citizens and legal professionals.
