In the early afternoon, the President of the Republic received in audience His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Saoud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the State of Kuwait.
The discussions provided an opportunity to commend the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between Senegal and Kuwait, particularly in the areas of security and civil protection. The Kuwaiti official reaffirmed his country’s strong commitment to this solid and mutually beneficial partnership, as well as the readiness of the Kuwaiti authorities to continue and further strengthen their support for Senegal.
For his part, the President of the Republic expressed Senegal’s gratitude for Kuwait’s steadfast support, especially through the provision of equipment and training, which have contributed to strengthening national capacities. He also praised the attention given by the Kuwaiti authorities to the Senegalese community, which is well integrated and evolving in a climate of trust and mutual respect.
Both parties agreed to further enhance this exemplary cooperation, in the service of human security and the well-being of the Senegalese and Kuwaiti peoples.
