The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received on Tuesday Jozef Síkela and Magnus Brunner, European Commissioners respectively in charge of International Partnerships and of Home Affairs and Migration.

This meeting forms part of the ongoing efforts to consolidate the strategic partnership between Senegal and the Union européenne, built on ambitious development cooperation, strong economic exchanges, and a foundation of shared values.

Discussions focused on several common priorities, notably youth training and professional integration, through a renewed partnership geared toward tangible results. Security and migration also featured prominently in the talks, with the Commissioners commending the excellence of cooperation between Senegal and the European Union in these strategic areas.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening this relationship of trust, with the constant objective of sustainably improving the living conditions of the Senegalese people.
