The Health of Senegalese Citizens at the Heart of a Key Meeting in Berlin.

International - 2026 June 22

On the sidelines of the German-Senegalese Economic Forum, the President of the Republic met with Mr. Marco Linnig, head of Siemens Healthineers, one of the world’s leading medical technology groups.

The objective is straightforward and concerns every family: to better equip our hospitals, install scanners and imaging equipment where they are lacking, and shorten the time between the onset of illness and an accurate diagnosis. Decisions made today in a meeting room in Berlin can tomorrow make a tangible difference in a radiology department in Ziguinchor or Matam.

The Head of State emphasized that the training of Senegalese doctors and technicians must remain at the heart of the discussion, because even the most advanced equipment is only as effective as the professionals who operate it. This commitment to developing national expertise alongside modern infrastructure is a cornerstone of the Senegal 2050 Vision.
