President Bassirou Diomaye Faye took part, on Saturday, 17 January 2026 in Conakry, in the solemn inauguration ceremony of His Excellency General Mamadi Doumbouya as President of the Republic of Guinea.
At the General Lansana Conté Stadium in Nongo, before a large crowd and in the presence of several African Heads of State, the Senegalese Head of State attended the swearing-in of the new Guinean President, marking Guinea’s official entry into the Fifth Republic following his election by universal suffrage.
This visit once again reflects Senegal’s deep commitment to the fraternal, historical and solidarity-based relations that unite the two neighboring peoples and nations.
