The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received Ms. Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in audience this morning at the Presidential Palace.
The meeting followed the opening of the EBRD’s office in Dakar, marking an important milestone in the Bank’s expansion in Senegal. Ms. Renaud-Basso reaffirmed the EBRD’s commitment to supporting the President’s initiatives aimed at financing the private sector, a key driver of the economic transformation envisioned under the Senegal 2050 Vision.
Discussions focused on prospects for enhanced cooperation between Senegal and the EBRD, particularly in facilitating access to appropriate financing for Senegalese businesses, strengthening productive investment, and supporting national entrepreneurship.
