
The Head of State received the Ambassadors of Peace this Thursday at the Presidential Palace. This civic initiative brings together personalities from diverse backgrounds religious and traditional authorities, legal professionals, trade unionists, representatives of the arts and culture sector, medical professionals, and members of civil society who work toward the prevention of tensions, mediation, and the strengthening of national cohesion.
The delegation came to present to the President of the Republic a report on the actions carried out in close connection with social dynamics, aimed at defusing crises before they escalate and promoting, wherever necessary, a culture of dialogue and non-violence.
President Bassirou Diomaye Faye commended the spirit of this initiative, which fully aligns with his vision of governance where dialogue serves as a method and cohesion as a guiding principle. The Head of State reaffirmed his willingness to support any initiative that contributes to listening, appeasement, and the strengthening of national unity.
The delegation notably included Dr. Abdoul Aziz Kébé, Grand Serigne Pape Ibrahima Diagne, Prof. Babacar Guèye, Me Boucounta Diallo, Dr. Haoua Dia Thiam, Mody Guiro, Kalidou Kassé, Bécaye Mbaye, Moundiaye Cissé, Djibril Gningué, Aby Diallo, Ndèye Marie Thiam Diédhiou, as well as Cheikh Tidiane Cissé and Papa Assane Tine, who coordinate the program.
