The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, on Tuesday received a high-level chérifian delegation from the Kingdom of Morocco, led by the General Khalif of the Tidjaniya in Morocco, Sidi Mohamed El Kebir.
Discussions focused on the organization of the National Hadaratoul Jummah, initiated by Serigne Abdoul Aziz Al Amine and whose legacy continues to be upheld by his descendants. The General Khalif of the Tidjanis of Senegal was represented by Sidy Ahmed Sy and Pape Moctar Kebe. The President of the Abnaou, Khalifa Sylla, as well as Serigne Fatha Sarr, also took part in the audience as organizers of the national Hadara.
The discussions also reaffirmed the vitality of the longstanding relations between Senegal and the Chérifian Kingdom, rooted in deep spiritual brotherhood and exemplary cooperation. Prayers were offered for peace and cordial relations to continue to prevail between the two nations.
