
On the sidelines of his visit, the Head of State paid courtesy visits to religious and traditional authorities, seeking their prayers for the strengthening of peace in Casamance and across the country, while also listening to their advice and concerns.

In this context, he held discussions with the King of Oussouye, Sibiloumbaye Diédhiou, followed by the King of Calobone, Koudiossobo Diatta, as well as with the chief imam of Oussouye, in a spirit of respect for traditions, dialogue, and mutual consideration.
These exchanges reflect the President of the Republic’s strong attachment to traditional and religious authorities, recognized as essential pillars of stability, social cohesion, and lasting peace in Casamance.
Through this engagement, the Head of State reaffirms his commitment to combining urban development, respect for cultural values, and sustained dialogue with moral leaders, in order to build modern, inclusive territories deeply rooted in their identity.
