International - 2026 March 25

The President of the Republic continued his series of meetings in Madrid, successively receiving Mr. Fernando Clavijo, a delegation from the architecture firm DAW Office, as well as representatives of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations.

The discussions focused on major issues for Senegal. On migration, talks helped strengthen cooperation to ensure the dignified treatment of migrants, while intensifying the fight against trafficking networks and placing greater emphasis on youth training and employability.

The “Diourbel Durable” project, presented by DAW Office, involves an investment of 380 billion CFA francs as part of a Senegal–Spain partnership integrating green financing, with significant expected impact in terms of spatial planning and territorial development.

Finally, discussions with Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations open up important prospects for strengthening Senegal’s position in vaccine production in Africa and in international health initiatives.
Through these meetings, the President of the Republic is pursuing a coherent approach: addressing immediate challenges while preparing Senegal’s structural transformations.
