Alongside the Minister of the Armed Forces, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and military authorities, the Head of State shared a moment of cohesion, discipline, and closeness with the men and women who, alongside the Nation, are preparing the success of this first Olympic event organized on African soil.
Now inscribed in the republican agenda, this hike will be held every first Sunday following Armed Forces Day. It symbolizes the spirit of resilience, mobilization, and endurance that animates our defense and security forces, called upon to play an essential role in the hosting, security, and prestige of the Dakar 2026 YOG.
The Presidency of the Republic salutes this initiative which strengthens the bonds between the Army and the population, and recalls the decisive contribution of the Armed Forces to building a sovereign, united Senegal turned toward the future.
