While on a visit to Luanda for the 7th AU–EU Summit, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, this afternoon granted an audience to Dr Sidi Ould Tah, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
During the discussions, the Head of State renewed his congratulations to Mr Ould Tah on his election as head of the institution and assured him of his support for the success of his term.
President Faye highlighted the strategic role of the AfDB, regarded as a major African institution expected to deliver innovative and highly catalytic solutions to address the challenges of financing the continent’s economies.
For his part, the President of the AfDB expressed his full availability, as well as that of the institution, to support the implementation of the Senegal 2050 agenda.
