The President of the Republic received, this afternoon at the Republic Palace, during a solemn ceremony, the general report of the proceedings of the National Dialogue dedicated to the political system.
In his speech, the Head of State highlighted the significant progress made during the discussions, emphasizing the major consensuses reached on key structural points, namely: the rationalization and reform of political parties; the full digitization of the electoral process; the permanent and automatic registration of first-time voters; the establishment of a Constitutional Court; the adoption of a single ballot and electronic voting; and the creation of an independent body responsible for managing elections.
The President of the Republic assured that these priority recommendations will be swiftly translated into concrete measures, both at the constitutional, legislative, and regulatory levels. To this end, an ad hoc committee will be established this week, tasked with rigorously monitoring the implementation of the adopted measures.
Emphasizing the strategic importance of these reforms, the Head of State reaffirmed their significance in preserving social peace, enhancing Senegal’s economic attractiveness, and improving synergy between institutions.
Now institutionalized, the National Dialogue has established itself as a central lever for concerted governance, democratic consolidation, and citizen engagement. It embodies a collective will for a united, stable Senegal, resolutely focused on the future.
