His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, President of the Republic, has appointed Mr. Ousmane DIAGNE as Member and President of the Constitutional Council by Decree No. 2026-1318 of 13 July 2026, succeeding the late Mr. Mamadou Badio CAMARA.
A career magistrate, Mr. Ousmane DIAGNE has notably served as Prosecutor General at the Dakar Court of Appeal, First Advocate General at the Supreme Court, and Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals.
