The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, granted an audience on Thursday, July 24, 2025, to His Excellency Mr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who is on an official visit to Dakar.
Accompanied by a large delegation including around thirty investors, the Egyptian diplomacy chief delivered a message from His Excellency Mr. Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the meeting, the minister emphasized the strength of the relations between Dakar and Cairo, established over 65 years ago. He reiterated Egypt’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Senegal in key sectors such as the economy, agriculture, agri-food processing, culture, and security.
The discussions also focused on major regional issues, highlighting the importance of ongoing dialogue and strengthened coordination among African nations to address common challenges.
