President Faye meets with the Senegalese diaspora in Lagos: a dialogue for concrete solutions

Arriving in Abuja this Saturday, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, upheld a cherished tradition: meeting with his compatriots living abroad.

During a fraternal audience with the Senegalese community residing in Nigeria, several concerns were raised, including the financing of investment projects, the renewal of administrative documents, and the establishment of a consular office in Lagos. The Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to providing concrete and lasting solutions to these issues.

He also announced the upcoming organization of a National Diaspora Day to better structure support for Senegalese living abroad and to highlight their role in the country’s development.

In the same spirit, the President of the Republic engaged with Senegalese officials working within ECOWAS, commending their essential contribution to regional integration and Senegal’s standing in community institutions.
