In Yokohama, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, concluded a day marked by a series of audiences by meeting with the leaders of Carrefour Médical and NIPRO Corporation, a global leader in medical technology.
This meeting was highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two companies, focusing on the local production of hemodialysis kits in Senegal. Carrefour Médical, which currently manufactures three out of ten components of these kits, aims to expand its production capacity through this partnership.
The shared objective is clear: to reduce the cost of dialysis kits from 35,000 CFA francs to 25,000 CFA francs, thereby making healthcare more accessible to the population.
On this occasion, the Head of State commended the initiative and encouraged the partners to place their trust in Senegal, emphasizing the country’s key investment advantages: political stability, strategic geographical positioning, a dynamic regional market, export-oriented special economic zones, and ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the business environment.
This cooperation reflects Senegal’s commitment to combining medical innovation, economic attractiveness, and the improvement of citizens’ well-being.
