The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye FAYE, inaugurated the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Diamniadio this morning. This ceremony marks a significant new step in the policy of strengthening hotel accommodation capacity and developing the tourism sector, a key area for our economy.
The Courtyard by Marriott hotel, the result of a 13 billion CFA franc investment, is a modern infrastructure with 134 rooms meeting the highest international standards. Its construction has created 150 direct jobs, thus contributing to the emergence of economic opportunities for our youth and the dynamism of the private sector.
On this occasion, the Head of State reaffirmed his ambition to make tourism a driver of economic growth, in line with the national transformation agenda, Senegal 2050.
The hotel fits perfectly into the development of modern infrastructure in Diamniadio, such as the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center, Dakar Arena, and the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium, making this locality a strategic hub for business tourism, cultural, and sports events.
This inauguration once again illustrates the confidence of investors in our country and the progress made in offering an attractive and competitive business environment.
