The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, today granted an audience to the Qatari Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi. This working visit is part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Senegal and Qatar, in line with the commitments made between the two countries. During the meeting, both parties reviewed the priority areas of their cooperation, particularly in the sectors of economy, energy, and education.
Furthermore, this afternoon, at the Presidential Palace, the Head of State received a delegation of ulemas from sub-Saharan Africa. Gathered in Dakar for their 3rd congress, these religious leaders took the opportunity to present President Faye with the main resolutions adopted during their meeting and to express their gratitude for his support in organizing the event.
