The President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, attended this Saturday, at the Dakar Arena complex in Diamniadio, the victory of ASC Ville de Dakar in their debut match in the Sahara Conference of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2025.
In an electrifying atmosphere, fueled by a large and enthusiastic crowd, ASC Ville de Dakar delivered a remarkable performance against US Monastir in an intense and hard-fought match.
On this occasion, President Faye engaged with several prominent figures of African culture and youth present at Dakar Arena, including Khaby Lame, Daara J Family, Youssoufa, Canabasse, and Dip Doundou Guiss. He commended their commitment to promoting sports and culture.
Through his presence, the Head of State reaffirmed his dedication to the development of basketball and the support of youth, key drivers of Senegal’s and the African continent’s influence.
