His Excellency President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye received in audience Ms. Audrey Azoulay, outgoing Director-General of UNESCO.
The meeting highlighted the excellence of relations between Senegal and the Organization, while exploring new prospects for cooperation.
The discussions focused in particular on UNESCO's contribution to the preparation of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, as well as the strengthening of joint actions in the fields of education, cultural heritage, and artificial intelligence.
The President reaffirmed Senegal's commitment to continuing, with UNESCO, a partnership based on knowledge, culture, and innovation in the service of youth and sustainable development.
