President Bassirou Diomaye Faye welcomes the President of Namibia during a stopover in Dakar

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received this afternoon Mrs. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, during a technical stopover in Dakar.

During this cordial meeting, the two Heads of State discussed the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation that have long united Senegal and Namibia. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthen bilateral ties in various areas of mutual interest.

This courtesy visit took place as the Namibian President heads to Belém, Brazil, to attend the 30th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP30).
