The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received in audience the Khalif of the family of Thierno Mountaga Tall, Thierno Madani Tall.
The meeting focused on the ongoing efforts to repatriate the heritage of Cheikh Oumar Foutiyou Tall, particularly the restitution of more than 418 manuscripts. The Tall family requested the support of the State of Senegal to assist in this process of preserving and promoting our religious and cultural heritage.
Discussions also addressed the organization, in 2027, of a universal exhibition dedicated to the life and work of El Hadj Oumar Foutiyou Tall, as part of a broader effort to safeguard and enhance the nation’s heritage.
