The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received on Thursday Mr. Elimane Diouf, Secretary General of the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Senegal (CSA), in audience.
This meeting provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on the national socio-economic situation, as well as on the challenges related to the social stability pact, a key pillar of national cohesion and sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the CSA Secretary General welcomed the efforts undertaken by the State to improve the purchasing power of the population. The discussions also focused on key sectors directly affecting the lives of Senegalese citizens, notably education, higher education, health, energy, transport, and the pension system.
Through this frank and constructive dialogue, the Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to governance based on listening, consultation, and the pursuit of sustainable solutions in the service of social justice and economic progress.
