The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, at the Presidential Palace, the new Mission Chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Senegal, Ms. Mercedes Vera Martin.
During the meeting, the IMF official highlighted the progress made in the ongoing discussions aimed at concluding a new cooperation program between Senegal and the Bretton Woods institution.
