The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received in audience Dr. Michelle White, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Mercy Ships International.
The humanitarian organization, which has long been engaged alongside Senegal, commended the quality of the partnership established with the State and announced the forthcoming return of its hospital ship to provide specialized medical care to the population, particularly in high-demand areas.
Discussions also focused on the organization of capacity-building sessions for Senegalese healthcare professionals, with a view to ensuring skills transfer and the sustainable strengthening of the national health system.
Through this cooperation, Senegal continues to pursue its objective of enhancing equitable access to quality healthcare and building international partnerships with strong human impact.
