The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received in audience this morning Saly Sarr, who came to present her bronze medal won at the World Indoor Athletics Championships.
The Head of State extended his warm congratulations to her, along with those of the entire Nation, for this high-level performance that brings honor to Senegal.
This meeting, attended by a delegation including notably the President of the Senegalese Athletics Federation and her agent, provided an opportunity to discuss upcoming challenges, particularly the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, for which Saly Sarr is considered one of Senegal’s strongest medal prospects.
The President of the Republic reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring optimal support, in order to enable Saly Sarr and all Senegalese athletes to prepare under the best possible conditions for forthcoming international competitions.
