The President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received the President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), an agency affiliated with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, tasked with facilitating economic relations between Japan and its global partners.
There are already 25 Japanese companies established in Senegal. The discussions focused on the desire to further strengthen this presence, particularly in strategic sectors such as vocational training, digital technology, and green energy.
JETRO also expressed its interest in participating in the Invest in Senegal Forum, scheduled for October 7 and 8, 2025, in Dakar, to contribute to the growth of investments and the development of an even stronger partnership between Senegal and Japan.
