His Excellency the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, granted an audience this Tuesday, April 21, 2026, to a delegation from Africa50, a pan-African investment platform dedicated to financing and delivering transformative infrastructure projects, whose shareholders include thirty-three African countries, among them Senegal.
The delegation, led by Africa50’s Chief Executive Officer, Alain Ebobissé, presented to the Head of State an overview of the institution’s activities, which amount to nearly $9 billion in investments mobilized across the continent. These investments have been driven through the establishment of project development funds and support to strategic sectors such as energy, transport, and road infrastructure. By accelerating the implementation of private projects and public-private partnerships, Africa50 has established itself as a key partner to African governments, with a direct impact on the lives of millions of citizens.

The discussions highlighted the strong alignment between Africa50’s interventions and the priorities of the Senegal Vision 2050, particularly in the areas of energy sovereignty, connectivity, and structural economic transformation. The delegation reaffirmed its full commitment to supporting Senegal’s development trajectory, in a spirit of continental synergy and enhanced capital mobilization in service of African populations.
