Upon his arrival in Thiès, the railway city, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, paid a courtesy visit to Keur Mame Elhadj to meet the family of Tafsir Ahmadou Barro Ndiéguène.
This moment, marked by respect and spirituality, helped strengthen longstanding ties between the Head of State and this prominent religious household. The President recalled the valuable legacy of their illustrious ancestor, whose commitment contributed to reinforcing bonds among the religious communities of Thiès.
Welcomed by Baye Elhadj Ousseynou Ndiéguène, coordinator of current affairs in the absence of the Khalife, Sérigne Mouhamadou Mounir Ndiéguène, as well as by the family’s spokesperson, the Head of State received prayers for the success of the initiatives undertaken in service of the Nation.
The Ndiéguène family also expressed their appreciation for the choice of Thiès to host the celebration of the 66th anniversary of independence, describing it as a mark of consideration and loyalty.
Prayers were offered for a Senegal of peace, cohesion, and prosperity.
