His Excellency President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye visited the Emir's Palace this morning. He personally travelled to Doha in recognition of the deep and longstanding ties between Senegal and the State of Qatar.
On behalf of the people of Senegal, President Faye extended his heartfelt condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, to the esteemed Royal Family, and to the friendly people of Qatar. He paid tribute to the late Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, describing him as a visionary leader who laid the foundations of the enduring partnership between Senegal and Qatar.
Expressing his compassion and solidarity to His Highness the Emir, the President of the Republic reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Senegal and the State of Qatar.
