After Ross Béthio, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, visited Diama as part of his tour of the Northern Territorial Pole.
During this visit, the Head of State inspected a newly developed agricultural plot, established under the Savoigne Rural Development Project (PDRS), primarily funded by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA).
This strategically important project directly benefits 5,700 residents across 11 villages in the region. It aims to modernize local agriculture through the introduction of high-performance equipment and the establishment of suitable storage infrastructure, ensuring better management of agricultural resources.
This initiative aligns fully with the goals of the Senegal 2050 Vision, championed by the government, which places food sovereignty and producer autonomy at the core of its priorities for sustainable and inclusive development.
