His Excellency President Bassirou Diomaye Faye received Mr. Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CMA CGM, this morning in Nairobi.
With a fleet of around 700 container ships and operations in more than 170 countries, the group ranks among the world’s leading shipping companies.
Discussions focused on the growth potential of port activities in Senegal and across the sub-region, as well as the opportunities arising from the commissioning of the Port of Ndayane and the development of its Special Economic Zone. These strategic infrastructures are expected to reposition Senegal as a major logistics hub on the Atlantic coast while sustainably generating economic activity, jobs, and revenue for the national economy.
CMA CGM reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Senegal in this new phase of development.
