His Excellency President Bassirou Diomaye Faye participated, on February 10, 2025, in the 42nd session of the AUDA-NEPAD Steering Committee, held in a virtual format.
In his address, the President reaffirmed Senegal's commitment to structural transformation of the African continent, emphasizing:
The mobilization of internal African resources through the "Team Africa" initiative to finance our projects without exclusively relying on external support;
The acceleration of the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to boost intra-African trade and strengthen our economic independence;
The development of energy infrastructure to ensure access to electricity and support the continent's industrialization;
Technical and vocational training adapted to current realities, notably digitalization and artificial intelligence, to equip African youth to face tomorrow's challenges.
The President also praised the leadership efforts of President Al Sissi and supported the extension of his term as head of the AUDA-NEPAD Steering Committee.
