Official visit to Lomé: Presidents Faye and Gnassingbé committed to strategic cooperation.

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, conducted an official visit to Lomé today, where he met with His Excellency President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

This meeting provided an opportunity to renew the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Senegal and Togo. The two Heads of State agreed to strengthen this cooperation, particularly by convening the Joint Commission to explore ways and means to enhance trade exchanges and foster mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the visit, the two Presidents also discussed the security and political challenges facing the sub-region, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining regional cohesion in the face of growing threats, particularly terrorism in the Sahel.

His Excellency President Faye commended the efforts of His Excellency President Gnassingbé for his regional mediation initiatives and expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and constructive discussions.
