
As part of his official visit to the Republic of Kenya, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, was received at the State House in Nairobi by His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya.
The two Heads of State held high-level discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest. They welcomed the convergence of views between Senegal and Kenya, while commending the excellent ties of friendship and cooperation that unite the two nations.
The discussions covered a wide range of priority areas, including peace and security, trade, air transport, education, innovation, sports, tourism, agriculture, health, and sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President William Ruto hosted an official lunch in honor of his Senegalese counterpart.
The event was also marked by the signing of a visa exemption agreement between Senegal 🇸🇳 and Kenya 🇰🇪, allowing their citizens to travel visa-free for 90 days. This agreement represents a strong symbol of the shared commitment of both countries to promote mobility, African integration, and human and economic exchanges.
This official visit underscores the strength of the Senegalese-Kenyan partnership and reaffirms the shared commitment of the two Heads of State to a sovereign, united, and prosperous Africa.
