The Place de la Nation will host, on Friday, April 4, 2025, the ceremony celebrating the 65th anniversary of Senegal’s accession to international sovereignty. This event will take place in the presence of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, and numerous distinguished guests from friendly nations.
The celebration will begin with a military salute, followed by the presentation of honorary distinctions, and will conclude with a parade featuring civilian, military, and paramilitary units, as well as motorized processions and an air demonstration.
For this edition, the commemoration will be held under the theme “Towards Technological and Industrial Sovereignty of the Armed Forces,” highlighting Senegal’s strategic progress in strengthening its military capabilities and industrial autonomy.
