
As part of the National Dialogue Day, an annual event on the Republic’s institutional calendar, the President of the Republic, H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, continued on Saturday at the Presidential Palace the consultations initiated earlier in the week.
The Head of State received Mr. Souleymane Ndéné Ndiaye, former Prime Minister, followed by Messrs. Mbaye Ndiaye, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye, and Antoine Félix Diome, all former Ministers of the Interior.
Discussions focused on the economic and security challenges facing the country. Regarding security issues, particular attention was given to their contemporary dimensions, including employment, hydrocarbons, and cybersecurity.
The audience granted to Mr. Souleymane Ndéné Ndiaye marks the conclusion of the consultation phase with former heads of government.
