This year, National Dialogue Day, scheduled for May 28, coincides with the period of Tabaski, a time marked for our fellow citizens by particularly significant spiritual and family obligations. In order to ensure that this major event on the national calendar is celebrated under the best possible conditions, the Head of State has exceptionally decided to replace it with a more focused process of direct consultations.
Accordingly, from May 21 to 31, 2026, the Head of State will hold meetings with several high-ranking personalities and representatives of the nation’s vital forces for in-depth discussions on strengthening national cohesion and assessing the overall situation of the country.
The Head of State reaffirms his enduring commitment to dialogue in times of peace. He renews his determination to continue building, in a spirit of inclusion, a united, sovereign, just, and prosperous Senegal, firmly rooted in its strong values.
