The “ODD Moment 2024” took place this afternoon in the United States, gathering iconic figures such as President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. As the only African head of state alongside leaders from four other continents, he outlined Senegal’s vision to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
In his speech, President Faye also discussed state policies aimed at reducing internet access costs in Senegal, emphasizing the significant impact of technology on various sectors like education, agriculture, and health. He expressed a desire to constitutionalize the right to connectivity, akin to existing rights in the Constitution, such as education and freedom of expression.
