Press releases - 2026 February 17

The President of the Republic laid the foundation stone this afternoon for the Senegal Bar Training School.
Beyond launching a modern facility comprising sixteen classrooms, a 400-seat auditorium, and appropriate administrative and residential spaces, this initiative reflects a major strategic direction: making Justice a central lever for national transformation under the Senegal Vision 2050.
In a context marked by challenges related to equitable access to justice, the territorial distribution of lawyers, and the strengthening of judicial human resources, this school provides a structured and sustainable response. It aims to train legal professionals capable not only of defending, but also of preventing conflicts, promoting mediation, and strengthening social peace.
Recalling that the greatness of a State is measured by its ability to protect the most vulnerable against the most powerful, the Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to a Justice system that guarantees fundamental freedoms, enhances institutional credibility, and consolidates the rule of law.
Through this project, the State of Senegal clearly affirms its choice of a Justice system that protects, unites, and prepares the future, in service of the dignity and legitimate aspirations of the Senegalese people.
