On the occasion of Korité, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, participated in the prayer held at the Grand Mosque of Dakar.
Upon leaving the mosque, the Head of State extended his heartfelt wishes to all Senegalese men and women, as well as to the Islamic Ummah, hoping for an Eid al-Fitr filled with peace, health, prosperity, and solidarity.
The President of the Republic paid a respectful tribute to the Imam Ratib of the Grand Mosque, to all the religious leaders of the country, and to the customary authorities. He expressed his deep gratitude for their essential role in preserving social peace, while also requesting their prayers for a more united, just, and peaceful Senegal.
In a message imbued with spirituality and a sense of responsibility, the Head of State urged citizens to embody the values of faith, sharing, tolerance, and unity, which form the core of Senegalese identity.
"May this Korité be a moment of spiritual renewal, national cohesion, and hope for a future built on dignity, justice, and collective effort. May God bless Senegal," concluded the Head of State.
