On the second day of his visit to the Northern Territorial Pole, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, inaugurated the SAF Ingrédients factory in Ross Béthio on Friday, June 13, 2025.
This factory, a pioneer in Africa, specializes in processing onions into powder and strips. It relies on cutting-edge ecological technology, notably a biomass boiler powered by rice husks. This investment plays a major role in strengthening food security and economic development in the region, while contributing to the reduction of agricultural losses and decreasing dependency on imports.
