The President of the Republic visited Saré Coly Sallé to tour Sector G of the Anambé Basin, a flagship project for regional agriculture and for the nation’s ambition of achieving food sovereignty.
Led by SODAGRI in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, this developed area spans 1,229.85 hectares and is structured into 914 plots, illustrating the decisive role of productive investments in transforming territories. The project aims to sustainably increase agricultural production, improve living conditions in rural areas, stimulate economic activities particularly for young people and women and strengthen the resilience of farms. The basic market infrastructure is 99% complete.
Through this visit, the Head of State reaffirmed a fundamental principle: food sovereignty cannot simply be declared it must be built through well-planned land development, efficient infrastructure, better water management, and a sustained commitment to making rural areas hubs of production, stability, and prosperity.
This visit reflects a demanding vision of public action one that prioritizes investment where food security, income generation, and stronger, more sustainable prospects for communities are all at stake.
