His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the Republic of Senegal, participated on Monday, June 30, 2025, in the opening ceremony of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, in the presence of several Heads of State and Government, as well as leaders of major multilateral institutions, including the United Nations (UN), the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
The proceedings continue this afternoon with a plenary session. The President of the Republic will speak during this session to represent Senegal’s voice on a strategic issue: the mobilization and alignment of domestic public resources, a key lever for sovereign, equitable, and sustainable development.
