President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received Mr. Lansana Kouyaté this Friday, Chief Negotiator of ECOWAS with the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
The audience follows up on the mediation mission led by the Head of State on behalf of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS.
Having come to consult with the President, the envoy received guidance from a leader who, having personally conducted this mediation, fully understands its dynamics and requirements.
Committed to dialogue and African brotherhood, Senegal remains engaged in the search for a common path between ECOWAS and the AES on an issue that will largely shape the future of West African integration.
