During the presentation of the “Senegal 2050” framework at the Abdou Diouf Conference Center in Diamniadio, the President detailed this strategic document, outlining Senegal’s development path for the coming decades. He emphasized youth, institutional reforms, anti-corruption efforts, and pan-African cooperation.
In his speech, the Head of State highlighted the crucial role of youth in this transformation, asserting that a competent and dynamic youth will drive Senegal in 2050. He stressed the importance of training and involving young people in national development.
President Bassirou Diomaye Faye also mentioned the need to rethink Senegalese institutions to better meet public expectations, stating, “Reforming our institutions is essential to fully satisfy our people’s aspirations,” with a focus on governance and public service efficiency.
Finally, he reiterated Senegal’s commitment to strengthening ties with African nations, declaring that “our pan-African commitment will be reaffirmed, enhancing cooperation with sister nations.” This vision positions Senegal at the heart of regional and continental dynamics, aiming to build a more integrated and united Africa.
